What are Zeolite FIlters?
Zeolite Filters are, just like nitrate filters, filled with Zeolite. Zeolite is a material composed of silica and aluminum. The composition of the two makes it a material which absorbs ammonia just like a sponge absorbs water.
We do highly advice to use Zeolite only when you are experiencing (too) high levels of ammonia. When not using Zeolite, activated carbon would be best suited.
